As the former President/CEO of Petronas Chemicals Group Berhad (PCG), Datuk Hapiz is recognised as an accomplished industry leader with more than 30 years of management, marketing, technical and business development experience. He presently sits on the boards of several chemical companies both in Malaysia and the United States. He is also Chairman of the Chemical Industry Council of Malaysia and the National Chemical Productivity Nexus.

Mr Lee graduated in BA (Hons) in Accounting and Finance from Lancaster University in 1997 and MSc Finance (Distinction) from Cass Business School, City University London in 2003, both under the Renong Group Scholarship Trust Fund for undergraduate and Joint HSBC and Commonwealth Chevening Scholarship for postgraduate studies. He also completed ACCA in year 2001 and admitted as member for ACCA and Malaysia Institute of Accountants (“MIA”) in year 2001. He started his career in EPE Power Corporation Berhad (“EPE”) in 1997 and left in 2003 as CFO of the Group, his primary involvement in EPE Group was the project financing for 180MW power plant in Sabah and financial restructuring of EPE Group. He joined TAMCO Corporate Holdings Berhad as finance director in 2005 overseas international businesses mostly in Asia Pacific region; he was based in Hong Kong for 2 years setting up joint ventures in China. He joined Ancom Berhad as CFO in 2009 overseeing the financial management of the Group and responsible for mostly corporate finance, acquisition and disposal of business for the Group. He was re-designated as MD of Ancom Crop Care Sdn Bhd (“ACC”) in 2014 to lead the growth and expansion of ACC going forward.

After obtaining his HSC, he joined Highland Research Unit in 1981 and as he progressed in his career at Ancom, he obtained his certificate of marketing from CIM, UK and MBA from Nottingham Trent University. He joined Ancom Crop Care as Field Assistant in 1982 and then moved on to sales in 1984. In 1997 he was promoted as Marketing Manager and then in 2006 he assumed the position of General Manager- Marketing of Ancom BioScience Sdn Bhd. In 2011 he assumed the position of Chief Operating Officer. He has been working for the company for 35 years.
