Ancom Crop Care Sdn Bhd pioneers the field of crop protection in East Asia, starts manufacturing herbicides for Malaysian market

1976

Timber preservatives production unit added including plant for the synthesis of arsenic acid.

1984

Adds another herbicide plant to synthesize Diuron

1989

Listed on Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange (now known as Bursa Malaysia) main board under Industrial Products.

1990

Adds 2,4-Dichlorophenoxy acetic acid synthesis plant to expand range of products.

1994

Adds Glyphosate to complete herbicide range which includes Glyphosate Monoammonium – Ancom Crop Care’s own utility-patent formulation.

2006

Records annual sales revenue of about USD20 million. Exports over 50 per cent of its output to over 50 nations. Growth seen in Asia Pacific and Central America due to Ancom Crop Care’s competitive advantages and strong leadership.

2008

Enters an agreement with Malaysia Palm Oil Board (MPOB) to develop and commercialize glyphosate products formulated with palm-oil based adjuvant.

2010

Signs a technology transfer agreement with PMOB on palm oil-based adjuvant for glyphosate herbicide formulations.

2011

The MSMA plant is expanded by building new evaporators to increase production by 30 per cent.

2012

Signs a technology licensing agreement with Malaysian Cocoa board to commercialize a bio pesticide product originated from entamopathogenic fungus for the control of insect pest (R & D product of Malaysian Cocoa Board).
